I lost my leg AGAIN Sockets are probably the most annoying thing to deal with especially with weight fluctuations all the time! I keep a lot of my old sizes for when this happens just to have a spare. Sockets will take months at a time to remake and get refitted all while you have to maintain the weight that you are at. The first step towards a new socket for my prosthetic leg. Here they take measurements of my stump and take a cast ready to create a mould to make the new socket 📏 As an amputee you need your socket replaced periodically because of loss of swelling after surgery and then muscle atrophy.
