If Jesus was real, Jesus didn’t show up when my ancestors needed him the most. To ask “Where were the ancestors” is such an odd question to ask… Calling on your ancestors in the cultural context of veneration is not the same in the sense of calling on “God”. Our ancestors came from cultures that acknowledged ONE creator/source and before they could even acknowledge what was happening, it was too late. So let’s please act like we have some sense when we are discussing the ancestors and who we are
